New York State has announced another deadly day in the fight against the coronavirus.  Governor Andrew Cuomo says 758 New Yorkers died Saturday, April 11, bringing the state’s death toll from COVID-19 to 9,385.

On a positive note, the number of new hospitalizations is at its lowest level since the start of the pandemic.  New York has recorded 188,694 cases of the coronavirus.  The numbers April 12 marked an increase of 8,236.

Broome County has announced its 7th death due to the coronavirus outbreak.  County officials April 12 said the patient was a man in his 60s.  Broome has had 129 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with nine new positive cases.  Chenango County at last report had 60 cases, Cortland County 18, Delaware County 39.  April 12, Tioga County reported total confirmed cases of COVID-19 to date at 29.

April 9, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania recorded its first death from the virus.  The number of positive COVID-19 cases in the county is recorded at 21. Wayne County has one death and 63 confirmed cases while Bradford County has recorded 18 confirmed cases of the coronavirus. The Pennsylvania Department of Health does not provide details about the specific recorded deaths.

The Keystone State has 22,833 positive coronavirus results and 507 deaths.
