Family To Honor Son Lost In A Tragic Accident
If you've been a listener to the Hawk Morning Show for any amount of time, then you know that I'm from Warren Center Pa, my alma mater is Northeast Bradford and I am Panther Proud.
So when I heard about this, my heart broke for this family. Brandon Wilson went to Northeast Bradford his whole life. One of his greatest memories was being a part of the Track and Field and the Cross Country team.
He also enjoyed sitting around a campfire with family and friends and his biggest joy was riding his motorcycle. He was 23 when he passed away in a tragic accident last June. His mom and dad have created two scholarships in his memory to be given to two seniors at Northeast Bradford School.
Brandon's Run 5K Race/Walk
They are having a 5K Run/Walk this Saturday, May 13th to raise money for the scholarships. It'll be held at the Northeast Bradford High School beginning at 9 a.m. If you didn't sign up ahead of time, no worries. You can register on the day of the event beginning at 7 a.m.
If you are signing up on race day, you are encouraged TO BE THERE EARLY. There is a limited time before the run and there is a lot to be done before it starts. There have many age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
There will awards after the race but the winners will be the senior students that will receive a scholarship in honor of Brandon. The weather looks great with temperatures in the mid-70's with sunshine. Bring your smiles and sneakers because Brandon would.
