Pennsylvania is reporting 22,429 new cases of the coronavirus over the past week, over 4,300 fewer than new cases reported the week before as the Commonwealth continues a slow downward trend in new infections.

Bradford County continues to lead Northeastern Pennsylvania in the total number of COVID-19 cases, new cases and deaths from the pandemic.

Over the past week, Bradford had 123 new cases compared to 110 in Susquehanna and 109 in Wayne Counties.  Both Bradford and Susquehanna County had two additional deaths while Wayne County lost one resident.  Bradford’s death toll stands at 88, Susquehanna at 60 and Wayne County at 77 since the start of the pandemic.

Bradford County’s total number of COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic is 5,682. Wayne County is second with a total of 3,910 cases with Susquehanna County recording 2,469 cases over the past 14 months.
