A few minor accidents and a lot of parking tickets are coming out of the two-and-a-half day storm in the Twin Tiers.

A few scattered school delays and closings remained February 3 as crews continued to work to clear roadways of up to two feet of snow in some areas.

Binghamton Mayor Richard David says, even after putting out the word that the City was cracking down on violators of alternate side of the street parking, Police wrote HUNDREDS of tickets Monday and Tuesday.

Mayor Richard David February 2 said he was not aware of any vehicles being towed since that was a last resort if motorists didn’t move off the street or to the appropriate side of the street.

Blowing snow could still be an issue for the next day along with some lake-effect snow.

At 5 a.m. February 3, the National Weather Service in Binghamton issued a weather statement that said : "While Winter Storm Warnigs have been allowed to expire, a band of light snow continues to persist across much of the area, including Syracuse, Ithaca, Binghamton and Scranton Metro areas."

Visibility readings have not been too bad, but officials warn road will likely still have some slick spots through the morning commute and untreated roads may be difficult to navigate.

An additional 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected through the day February 3 with snow showers slowly tapering off into the evening hours.
