For some Binghamton area youth football players, the chance of a lifetime is coming on Friday, August 16 when they head to MetLife Stadium to take the field and play at halftime of the New York Giants preseason game against the Chicago Bears. Binghamton Mayor Rich David announced the call for Binghamton youth football players to participate.

In a press release from the mayor's office, David said that youth football players who want to take part must be a City of Binghamton resident and must be a rising fifth or sixth grader.  Up to 50 youth players can participate.

The young Binghamton players will get the chance to meet New York Giants' players, take part in pregame ceremonies, and play in an on-field scrimmage at halftime.

Mayor David thanked the Giants and their owners, the Mara family, for giving the youth players this opportunity. There is no cost for the youth football players who participate.  Families can sign their players up by clicking here.
