Commencement ceremonies for Binghamton University will be a hybrid event, getting started with a virtual ceremony May 13.

The virtual conferral ceremony will be at 7:30 p.m. on the University’s YouTube page to be accompanied by over 30 scheduled Grad Walks at the University Events Center May 13 through Sunday, May 16.

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is holding an in-person ceremony for the more than 50 graduates at 10 a.m. Friday, May 14 at the Anderson Center.  Attendance for that ceremony is limited to two guests per graduate.  Everyone must wear masks and practice physical distancing.

The Grad Walks at the Events Center will include brief congratulatory remarks as graduates walk the stage, have their name announced and pose for a graduation photo.

Again, each participant is allowed two guests who must have tickets to get into the Events Center.  Students and guests all have to show proof of vaccination, proof of a negative PCR COVID test within 72 hours of the ceremony, proof of a negative result from an antigen test within 6 hours of the ceremony or proof of completed immunization.

The Grad Walks and pharmacy ceremony will also be livestreamed on YouTube for people who are unable to attend.
