Hockey was meant to be played outdoors, especially when it helps out a great cause. It's the 2nd Annual Binghamton Pond Festival and it's happening this weekend at Chenango Valley State Park. Partial proceeds from this event will benefit MHAST’s DIFD program focusing on youth suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

New this year is the family-style fun on Friday night, including evening ice skating on the pond under the lights, Animal Adventure, live music, a guided park hike during the lunar eclipse, a bonfire, s'mores, a full fireworks show and more.

The pond hockey tournament with 40 teams and over 300 players will happen Saturday and Sunday. Music, skating, food, drink and fun will be available all three days.
