Binghamton Police Ask for Help From Community to Find Missing Man
UPDATE: Nowalk was located safe at the end of May 2018.
The City of Binghamton Police Department Detective Division is asking for help from the community to locate a missing man who is considered to be a vulnerable adult.
According to the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, a vulnerable adult is a person over the age of 18 who is “unable to protect themselves from abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, or other harm.”
The morning of April 9th, 2018 is the last time that anyone saw Kyle P. Nowalk. The last time that he was seen, Nowalk at Main and Helen Streets in the City of Binghamton.
While Kyle does not have a permanent address in the City of Binghamton, he is known to frequent City addresses and public areas. In addition to the City of Binghamton, Nowalk also has ties to the Town of Vestal and to Smithville Flats. Nowalk's Facebook page states that he's from Greene and went to Greene Central Schools.
Kyle P. Nowalk is a white male who is 19-years-old and stands at 5 feet, 11 inches. His weight is 180 pounds and he has short curly brown hair.
In a press release, the City of Binghamton Police Department Detective Divison reported that there hasn't been any communication or contact with Nowalk since his last confirmed sighting on April 9th and that his family is concerned for his wellbeing.
Nowalk suffers from mental health issues and a developmental disorder which may affect his ability to effectively socialize and communicate. It is suspected that Nowalk isn't taking his required medications.
