Binghamton Hospital to Celebrate Local Breast Cancer Survivors
According to Breastcancer.org, "1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime." Breast cancer is merciless when it attacks and that's why we have an entire month each year that we devote to educating women on how to help prevent, fight, and survive breast cancer.
Grab your mom, your sister, your best friend and enjoy some girl time with Lourdes Hospital's Celebration of Women event, next Wednesday, October 5th from 5-8pm.30
Celebration of Women will take place at Traditions at the Glen on Watson Boulevard in Johnson City and is an opportunity for women to come together and relax while enjoying a fashion show, mini manicures, refreshments, and more.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and local breast cancer survivor heroes will be honored during the Celebration of Women event.
Admission will be a $5 donation at the door and proceeds will go directly to the Geller Fund, which helps alleviate the financial strain of cancer patients who receive treatment at Lourdes Regional Cancer Center and Broome Oncology.
If you’d like to attend Celebration of Women, be sure to register before space runs out.
