"Cops 4 A Cause" was organized by local active and retired law enforcement members to give directly back to the community. On Saturday, September 9th, they are behind the "Softball 4 Hope" event at Binghamton University.

It's a free, friendly competition between the local police and fire department. The money raised goes to "Cops 4 A Cause" and will benefit families in our area that are battling cancer. This is a reminder that can make a difference for those affected by cancer.

'Cops 4 A Cause' Charity Golf Tournament

C4C is also holding their 6th annual charity golf tournament at The Links at Hiawatha Landing on Friday, September 15th. This event has grown through the years and now they have two flights at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

This golf tournament is another way that the local active and retired law enforcement officers are giving back to the community where they live and work. Golf may not be my best played game but this cause is to good for me to pass up so I'll be teeing it up in the 1:30 flight

Since its incorporation, C4C members have given more than $100,000 to individuals and organizations in need in the Southern Tier. Go here to find out more about the "Cops 4 A Cause" mission and see how you can get involved too.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
