Beautifying the Block and Empowering Binghamton Families
Have you ever heard of the Astor D. Rice Foundation? I hadn't either until recently and I'm glad that I know about it now. The foundation is all about carrying on the legacy of Astor Rice, he was a local legend known for his selfless dedication to others. The foundation is led by his son, King Rice, and is all about giving back to the Binghamton neighborhood.
Partnering for Positive Change
The foundation is working hard to make the community a better place. They get together to make our neighborhoods better with key values like citizenship, character, competency, and civility.
They want to create a more inclusive community feeling and they would love for you to join them. They want to make every day brighter for everyone in Broome County, one day and step at a time.
Beautify the Block: Revitalizing Communities
"Beautify the Block" brings the community together to give a much-needed facelift to a part of Binghamton that needs it. From reducing waste to recycling and raising awareness, this event is more than just cleaning up, it’s about creating a greener, safer place to call home.

They are teaming up with local businesses and nonprofits, this isn't just about picking up litter; they're about building a cleaner future for everyone.
Get Involved and Make a Difference
They hope to see you this Saturday, May 10th at 11 a.m. to join the Astor D Rice Foundation at 50 Carroll Street in Binghamton. Interested in joining the Beautify the Block event?
