$1,000 Boost Helps Southern Tier Nonprofit Support Seniors

This month’s Auchinachie Cares spotlight is all about giving back to those who have given so much. Faith in Action Volunteers will receive a boost from Auchinachie Cares to continue their incredible work right here in our community.

Fighting Isolation and Bringing Joy to Older Adults

Faith in Action Volunteers is all about making life better for our seniors. They give rides to doctor’s appointments, stop in for friendly visits that really lift spirits, and even do home safety checks to make sure everything’s secure. On top of that, they run programs that keep older adults active, engaged, and smiling. It’s simple stuff that makes a huge difference in keeping people safe, independent, and connected.

When Dinner Serves a Greater Purpose

If you want to pitch in, here’s a fun way to do it, head to the 19th Annual Dining for Dollars on October 16th at The Riverdale Banquet Hall. It’s not your usual dinner out because local clergy will be the ones serving up your meal. All the tips go straight to helping seniors in our community. It’s one of those nights where you get good food, some laughs, and you walk away knowing you’ve done something meaningful.
