Adam Weitsman Has Saved The Very Best For Last
I've been a fan of the Syracuse Orange for as long as I can remember and I've been fortunate to be at the Carrier Dome for several basketball games through the years. I was there in 1982 when the Orangemen basketball team upset Patrick Ewing and Georgetown on national television.
That was also the game that cheerleader Michelle Munn from Sayre Pa flipped from the top row of the pyramid and no one caught her. That resulted in changes in cheerleading safety and she's doing well and lives in Florida today
That was big but this is BIGGER and BETTER and it's going to happen this week. Weitsman has brought some pretty BIG stars to the dome to see the Syracuse Orange basketball team in action including Tom Brady, Josh Allen, OBJ, just to name a few.
Recently I mentioned that Adam Weitsman saved the best for last when he brought Damar Hamlin to the JMA Wireless Dome as his courtside guest. We were wrong because he has decided to save the MOST VIP and SPECIAL guests to join him for the last two games of the season.
Adam Weitsman Bringing Four Make-A-Wish Kids To Final Two Syracuse Home Games
He's invited four special kids from Make-A-Wish to join him and he'll give them a night they'll never forget. It'll be VIP treatment worthy for the the best of the best and that's what they are.
The Syracuse Orange take on Georgia Tech on Tuesday, February 28th and they wrap up the regular season against Wake Forest, Saturday March 4th at 5 p.m. A friend of mine, Brian Andrulewich summed it up best when he said:
"There's nothing more heartbreaking in this world than a child with a critical illness. There's nothing more heartwarming than to see a child with a critical illness smile, laugh, be happy, feel good- to live and see and experience some of their dreams come true. Thank You So Very Much Adam for making this happen for these children- an act of kindness and compassion and empathy beyond my ability to articulate upon."
I couldn't say it better and I won't even try. Adam has certainly saved the best for last and these kids are the real stars and heroes.
As the Orange season is coming to an end, let's look back 20 years ago when the Syracuse Orange won their unlikely national championship. I can't believe that its been 20 years already.
