Did you ever have one of those days when everything is going right, I had one last week and it was all due to the kindness of others.

Don't get me wrong, I'm an optimist, not a pessimist, but you know life can be tough and things happen every day that just makes you mad. It could be something that didn't go right at work or home, or maybe a motorist did something stupid that almost caused you to get in a wreck.

Whatever the case, there are days that more goes wrong than right. As a kid, I wondered why adults were so grumpy. Especially when arriving home after a day at work. Now I understand.

But, there are days that just seem to turn out great. Last week for example, I had some chores to attend to. One was purchasing some of my favorite beverages. At the store I noticed that a 12 pack was on sale. I needed 24. 24 is always better than 12. So, I go to purchase my two 12 packs (on sale) and was informed that I could save even more money by simply buying a case. They didn't have to do that, but I'm happy they did. It saved me a couple of bucks, and that store will certainly get my future business.

Next, I stopped at a furniture store to pay a bill. I couldn't find my paper bill, but the clerk was more than happy to accept my payment without it. Upon leaving the store, I unknowingly dropped my credit card in the parking lot. But before driving out, someone had noticed the card fall out of my pocket, retrieved it, and ran over to give to me. What a nice person to do that. The card could have ended up in the hands of a less than honest person, and emptied my account rather quickly.

That day was a good today. I'll take it, and keep in mind that despite the negativity in the world we witness each day, there are still more good people than bad.
