It's Throw-up Thursday, I mean Throwback Thursday. Yesterday Emily had to sing 'Elvira' in my Tigger suit. There's even a video of me singing the song last year at a Hawk event.

She asked me how long I've been singing that song and my reply was, "Longer than you've been alive."

I used to sing Elvira with the High Noon Band. I even 'sing' on a couple of their recordings.  One time the lead singer was losing his voice. They had a wedding to do the next day. He asked me if I could do a 20 minute version of Elvira. I did it.

The Oak Ridge Boy's are going to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame later this year. This summer, they'll be playing at the NYS Fair in Syracuse. I'm hoping that I'll finally be able to sing that song with them.

I'll make them a deal. Let me sing Elvira with you on stage. I'll never sing that song in public EVER again. They don't even need to turn the microphone on.

If I send them the video from last year, I think that might convince them. If not, maybe this poster from 1998 will change their mind. I'll even compromise and let Emily sing the song with me. She wouldn't even have to wear the Tigger costume.
