"Live from New York, I'M DOING SNL!!"

Morris' SNL episode will be hosted by wrestler John Cena, per the show's official announcement. The singer had teased that she had a big announcement up her sleeve on Tuesday (Nov. 29), when she shared an Instagram video of various sequined dresses "for a special TV thing I'm doing that I CANNOT wait to announce this week." When Morris officially revealed her SNL appearance, she appropriated included the hashtag #iwillbedressedlikeanornament.

Morris' SNL appearance will round out a stellar 2016 for the up-and-comer: She released her debut album, Hero, in June, to much critical and fan acclaim, earned seven CMA Awards nominations and won New Artist of the Year. Morris also spent much of 2016 on the road with Keith Urban, as an opening act on his Ripcord World Tour, and will launch her own headlining Hero Tour in February. It was recently announced that she will be performing as part of the 2017 Country Radio Seminar's New Faces of Country Music show as well.
