Are you one of those people that think that baseball umpires are blind and you can do a better job? Well now you can put your money where your mouth is and make money doing it.

The Binghamton Umpire Association is looking for you and their 1st meeting is right around the corner.

The Binghamton Umpire Association umpires baseball and softball games from age levels youth through adults in the Greater Binghamton and surrounding areas.

Training begins February 1st at the Moose Lodge, 224 Henry Street in Binghamton at 7pm. They have training sessions year round, with live game action, rules interpretation and umpiring fundamentals.

If you have no experience that is no problem. They provide all the training necessary. All you need is the interest and commitment. They have a wide range of people involved from high school seniors to senior citizens.

After the high school season, they work for numerous leagues and tournaments all summer long. Become a part of something special and make a little extra money while doing it.

You can contact John Leadbeater at lead05@stny.rr.com for more information about becoming an umpire. To find out more about the Binghamton Umpires, go here.
