Little Venice Restaurant has been a Binghamton get-together place for as long as most of us can remember. We have many meetings there. That's one of the times that I don't mind having a meeting and have it take an hour...or longer.

Today marks the 70th anniversary of this fine establishment. This afternoon (8/23) at 2pm, Mayor Richard David will be making a special announcement.

Mayor David will be joined by Senator Fred Akshar, Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, Broome County Executive Debbie Preston, along with members of the Little Venice family.

In 1946, Little Venice started in a house on the corner of Court and Cherry Streets and would later move to its present location.  They recently remodeled the restaurant and added a retail center called "The Shop at Little Venice."

It has bottled pasta sauce which you can find in over 160 retail locations --yum, yum. Little Venice is located at 111 Chenango Street in Binghamton.
