During a performance at the 2017 CMA Music FestivalKellie Pickler debuted a brand-new song. Readers can press play above to watch Pickler sing her emotional new tune, "If It Wasn't for a Woman."

Country Common reports that Pickler wrote "If It Wasn't for a Woman" with her husband, Kyle Jacobs, and songwriter Brian Bunn; the song is about Pickler's grandmother, Faye. The American Idol alum and her co-writers crafted lyrics that are definitely capable of bringing a few tears to even the most jaded of eyes.

"Sometimes when I miss her / I can still hear her sweet words / 'I love you, be safe,'” sings Pickler in the sentimental tune. “I wouldn’t be here today / If it wasn’t for a woman / Leading me by the hand, helping me understand ...

"If it wasn't for a woman / Teachin' me wrong from right, prayin' for me at night," the chorus of "If It Wasn't for a Woman" continues. "I'd be half the woman I am / If it wasn't for a woman."

As fans might know, Pickler was raised mostly by her grandparents as a child, and she has frequently cited Grandma Faye as one of her biggest inspirations. When she appeared on the cover of Maxim’s military tribute issue in 2012, Pickler revealed that her first tattoo was of her grandmother’s name. After meeting Loretta Lynn, Pickler also said that her grandma and Lynn wore the exact same lipstick.

Pickler hasn’t announced any plans for a new album -- she split from Black River Entertainment in June of 2016 -- but her CMT show, I Love Kellie Pickler, will return for its fourth season on Aug. 3. She and Faith Hill are also working on a daytime TV talk show, scheduled to premiere in September.
