Jon Jones went from one of the greatest moments of his career when he defeated Daniel Cormier at UFC 182, to one his lowest when he tested positive for cocaine a month before the Jan. 3 bout.

He underwent a 24 hour drug evaluation before he says doctors determined he did not need to undergo in-house treatment. Jones said that doctors randomly visit him on a weekly basis and administer drug tests.

He said during those visits he also receives counseling. The decision to enter a rehab program in the first place was "a collective decision between myself and my business partners," Jones said.

As for why Jones did cocaine so close to defending his UFC title, he said he has no excuse. Jones said he was first introduced to cocaine in college and did it a few times during his college years, but is not a frequent user.

In fact, his mom was glad he got caught. Jones was also adamant that he has never taken a performance-enhancing drug.

He's offered an apology to his fans.

"I'm really sorry for betraying their belief or just letting them down, I have definitely let myself down, my family, my team, the UFC, my fans down. It's not a defeat if you learn something."
