The Broome County Humane Society (BCHS) gets NO GOVERNMENT FUNDING and they depend on your donations along with adoptions and fundraisers. So when the coronavirus pandemic arrived, they were hit just as hard as everybody else.

Many of their fundraisers were canceled or scaled back, so anything that you can do to help is greatly appreciated. Here are a few things that you can do to make a difference.

Mark your calendars and save the date for their Fall Rummage Sale on Saturday, October 10th. It'll be held at American Legion Post 80 on Main Street in Binghamton from 8.a.m. to 2 p.m. They hope that you will donate your gently used items on Friday, October 9th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion.

Here's another thing that you can do to help out the Broome County Humane Society while having a great time at the same time. It's their annual Fall Bowl-a-Rama on October 17th. It'll be at Midway Lanes, 213 North Jensen Road in Vestal from 2 to 5 p.m.

It's a fun-filled day of bowling for only $25 per person and includes shoe rental, prizes, a meal, and more. So grab your friends, family, or co-workers for a day at the lanes that benefit our furry friends.

It's 2020 so remember that social distancing guidelines will be enforced and masks must be worn at all times when not seated. Go here to register now or call (607) 724-3709.
