On Saturday July 15, with an 8:00am Shot Gun Start, Captain and Crew at Belden Hill Golf Club, 18 holes with cart, lunch, prizes, music and Fun.

In years past we have told you about a person we know that is fighting their own battle or who have lost their battle. This year, we are so happy to share a story of success and LIFE being lived. This year we met a wonderful young man, a defenseman for the Binghamton Senators, Chris Rumble. Chris was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and all he wanted to do was get back on the ice and chase his dream. Long story short, while Chris was battling the disease at Seattle’s Children’s Hospital, he made a video with the other kids in the hospital to Kelly Clarkson’s STRONGER, Chris went through four rounds of chemo and was able to BEAT the disease. This story exemplifies why we do what we do. Chris had a dream to play professional hockey, follow in the skate swipes of hid dad. If not for the work of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, he may not have gotten to do so. The work we are all doing together is so important and is making a difference. Of course, we still know many people that are still fighting their battles but this is a wonderful success story.
