Christmas came early for my daughter, Riley, this year. Her favorite B-Sen is Chris Wideman and she just got the news she's been hoping for.

Chris is coming back to the Senators!

Yesterday the Ottawa Senators announced that they have agreed to terms if Chris. It's a 1 year, 2 way contract. It will carry an annual value of $600,000 in the NHL and $400,000 in the AHL.

Chris set career highs in games (75), goals (19), points (61) and penalty minutes (116). His 61 points were most among all AHL defensemen.

He was voted the winner of the Eddie Shore Award as the AHL’s best defenseman for the 2014-2015 season and named on the AHL's First All-Star Team.

It's great news that one of the bright spots from the Binghamton Senators will be back for another year. The season will be here before you know it, the season opener is Saturday, Hawktober 10th.

We already know the 5 guaranteed home games and they are back in the Northern Division with Albany, Rochester, Syracuse and Utica. To see all things Sen's, go here.

I warned Riley that he might not be in Binghamton all year. She said "Don't burst my bubble. Chris is a Senator and that's a good thing."

She plans on going to an Ottawa Senator game next season so maybe we'll go to one of the games when he's there.

LET'S GO SENS!
