Binghamton Mets Greg Peavey Named League Pitcher of the Week

The Eastern League announced today that Binghamton Mets starter Greg Peavey has been named the league Pitcher of the Week for the period of May 5 to May 11.  The righty earned league honors for his nine-inning complete-game shutout against New Hampshire Fisher Cats on May 7th.

Memorial Ride Planned for Ed Ulfik of Oxford Police and Chenango Ambulance

On March 22nd, Ed Ulfik, a medic at Chenango Ambulance, member of the Oxford Police Department, and a paramedic student at STPP suffered from a pulmonary embolism and subsequent cardiac arrest. Sadly after a brave fight, Ed passed away at the age of 33 on March 31st.

City of Binghamton Begins Process to Reconstruct Riverside Drive

Mayor Rich David today announced the City of Binghamton has initiated the process to start an estimated $2.6 million project to reconstruct Riverside Drive.  This is good news as yesterday driving on the popular thoroughfare, I thought I was going to lose my life in a series of pot holes.  On top of that people are swerving to avoid holes in the roads.
