2019 is here, so what now? If you like ice hockey then we have the answer for you. It's the 4th annual Binghamton Pond Festival. Hockey was meant to be played outdoors and it really helps when it's for a good cause.

It's an Adult Outdoor Weekend with a Wintertime Fireworks Show on Saturday night and benefits the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST) and Do It For Daron (DIFD.)

Pond Fest was created to bring a fun family event to our community to enjoy during the winter time. Everyone is welcome to attend, so bring a camp chair, your four legged friend on a leash along with your friends to enjoy the fun.

All of the donations are kept locally and used by the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier to promote the work of DIFD and their initiative for youth mental health awareness and suicide prevention in our community.

DIFD helps offer various scholarship programs for student outreach programs and for area sports coaches to become certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid.

It all starts Friday, January 25th at 6 p.m., continues Saturday morning at 8 a.m. with the day ends at Dos Rios Cantina and a Bubble Hockey Tournament and the Fest concludes on Sunday with a full day of activities from 9 to 5 pm.

There will be plenty of winter fun activities for families and kids including sledding, s'mores and more. Go here to get more information and to see the schedule for the entire weekend.

Temperatures will be around 20 so bundle up. I'll be doing a broadcast on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. I hope to see you there.
