Binghamton Mets split a double header with Trenton.  They lost game one 4-2 and hang on for a 4-3 win in the nightcap.  Today they go for win 50.  It would be the first time the Mets got their 50th victory before July 1st.

It'll be a little of a challenge as they'll be facing 2011 All-Star Michael Pineda in a rehab start for the Trenton Thunder (Double A Yankee affiliate). Michael is hoping to be at Yankee Stadium before the year is through.  The Mets will counter with highly-touted pitching prospect and Eastern League All-Star Noah Syndergaard

Off the field is another Kids Eat Free on Family Fun Day with 98.1 the Hawk. Children who are 14 & under with paid admission eat for FREE. For each child's ticket, the youngster will receive vouchers good for a FREE hot dog, small Coke, bag of chips, small popcorn and a healthy snack.

It's also Pirates and Princess Night. All fans (young and old) dress up as a Pirate or Princess and celebrate the magic of the fantasy world at the ballpark. All kids dressing up as a Princess or Pirate will receive a FREE ticket. First pitch is 1:05.

Tomorrow the Mets begin a 3 game set against Altoona which includes a double grand finale firework show on Wednesday, July 3rd. For tickets and more info go here. So cheer on your first place Binghamton Mets as they take on the (Double A affiliate New York Yankee) Trenton Thunder and get their 50th victory. LET'S GO METS.
