Back-to-School Supply Savings

Have you been meaning to go back-to-school shopping but you keep putting it off?

Well your procrastination may have paid off. WOW, that never happens. The best deals are this month.

I like to get the kids school supplies at various yard sales throughout the summer but they don't share my enthusiasm.

So I find it best to go to the stores where they sell the new (and unused) school supplies.

First of all, the list of Back-To-School supplies keeps going up. The average required school supply list now contains 18 items. That's up nearly 30% from last year.

Many retailers, let you stock up on pencils for a penny or notebooks for a quarter and glue sticks for as low as a dime. I remember going to the store and I told Tara to "have at it" and get all the pencils she wanted. She got 10.

I guess she wanted to get one for every year old she is. Hey, it makes sense to me. I'm the master planner of procrastination, it's nice to see that it worked this time.

They say "Good things come to those who wait." Of course, they say many things but in this case it worked out.
