6 Reasons Why I’m Ready for Spring

With the last few days finally showing signs of Spring, I've been getting so excited for it to finally be here for good. I was driving with the windows down yesterday and got to thinking about my absolute favorite things about the season of Spring and why I love it so much!

1. Days that reach above freezing!

Not only above freezing, but warm enough to have the windows down, put away the puffy winter jackets, and break out the sundresses! Plus, the warmer does wonders for my skin! Besides the tan I'm starting to get, that dry skin is going away!

2. Flowers

There is something magical about walking outside and seeing beautiful flowers covering every patch of grass. They're pretty colors, smell great, and look cute when you put one in your hair! And for all of those green thumbs out there - it's finally gardening season!

3. Outdoor events

Spring is the perfect time of year for Saturday picnics, trips to the zoo, sitting outside at a restaurant, or baseball games! I love spending the day outside, listening to some good music with a nice steak on the grill! Being outside in the sun can really bring up your mood!

4. Car rides

I don't know about you, but for me, driving in the car becomes so much more enjoyable when it's nice out. In the winter, just getting into the car is a drag - layers, snow boots, sitting in the cold car for 3 minutes to warm it up, snow, delays...EW! In the Springtime, we can just throw on jeans and a t-shirt, hop into the car, and go - windows down, music loud, favorite sunglasses on... bliss!

5. The ice cream man

There's something amazing about the ice cream man. No matter how old I get, hearing that ice cream man song (no, not the Van Halen one) puts such a smile on my face. I'll immediately ask who's around me if they want some and we'll run to the truck, so excited to order our favorite ice cream past time.

6. Fresh air

I think I have an obsession with fresh air. I hate having to depend on the heat in the winter and I'm not a fan of air conditioners in the summer. Give me a fresh breeze any day of the week and I'll take it, which is another reason why I love Spring so much! Besides driving with the windows down, having the windows in the house open gives the house a clean and fresh feeling!

I love Spring! It's definitely my favorite season and I couldn't be happier that it's finally here!
