Tioga Point Cemetery To Host Special Wreath-Laying Ceremony for Veterans
Wreaths Across America, an annual event that honors veterans by laying wreaths on their graves, is making its debut at Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens. This December, on a significant day of remembrance and honor, the public is invited to join in this touching tribute.
The public is invited to gather at Tioga Point Cemetery, located at 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA, on Saturday, December 14, 2024. The ceremony will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by the wreath-laying ceremony which will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Wreaths Across America is more than just a ceremony – it is a national movement that aspires to Remember, Honor, and Teach. This year, on National Wreaths Across America Day, volunteers and supporters nationwide will gather to pay their respects at over 4,600 locations, including Tioga Point Cemetery.
You and your family are invited to stand together with millions of others across the nation to honor the sacrifices of our veterans and ensure that their memory continues to shine bright.
If you are unable to participate in laying wreaths but still wish to show your support, you can sponsor a wreath for a veteran through Wreaths Across America. By sponsoring a wreath, you can honor and remember the sacrifices of those who served. To learn more about sponsoring a wreath for a veteran, you can learn how to do so here.
