The deadline is approaching for people who dream of operating a small farm to sign up for an informative series from Penn State Extension and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County.

The series: “Exploring the Small Farm Dream: Is Farming Right for You” will be held Tuesdays and Wednesdays, November 2, 3, 9 and 10 to help people think through taking small scale farming from a hobby to a business. The deadline to register is October 28.

Participants will work through in-classroom education, peer support and self-study with access to guest speakers, local service providers and a farmer panel.

The cost for the workshop is $175 per person or two registrations for $275 and includes a workbook, a pre-loaded flash drive with resources and worksheets, a binder and printed worksheets for each session.  A light dinner will also be provided each week.
