Woman Graduates with a 4.0, Gets Surprise of Her Life

I know they're important, but I find graduation ceremonies to be painfully boring. The only ceremony I actually enjoyed going to was one for my uncle in which the graduating class broke out into Whitney Houston's 'The Greatest Love of All." That was an unforgettable graduation.

There's no doubt that this too will go down as an unforgettable graduation ceremony.

Ashley Nelson was on the stage at Bridgewater State University receiving her diploma after graduating with a 4.0 grade point average when the university president made a strange announcement. Ashley was told that someone in the audience wanted to ask her a question. Ashley thought it was someone wanting to know abut her great academic performance. But no. The question wasn’t about her 4.0.

You know where this is going, don't you? Ashley's boyfriend, Josh Tillinghast was the one with the question.

Josh took the microphone and announced, “Ashley, you’re my best friend in the world. I love you so much. I feel like we were made for each other… With your father’s blessing, will you marry me?”

Ashley accepted. A diploma and a husband in one swoop...not a bad day at all!
