While much of the region is clear of significant snow for Monday, the National Weather Service in Binghamton has a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for Chenango and Delaware Counties until midday.

NOAA says total snow accumulations of two to five inches are possible in the advisory area, causing slippery conditions through the morning commute.

Officials say the highest snow amounts will be across the higher elevations of the Catskills.

Steadiest snow was expected be before sunrise, then snow starting to mix with rain after daybreak.

Mixed precipitation of snow, sleet and freezing rain are back in the forecast for February 11 and 13 with a potential for more slippery conditions.

Meanwhile, the temperature will be the issue on Valentine’s Day.  Friday’s projected high is only in the teens.
