Win Tickets to see Willie Nelson: Taste of Country Duel Headliner at Hunter Mountain

You can buy your tickets to the Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain before you can buy them.  WHAT you say?

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday but if you go to Hawk Events right now and put in the promo code "hawk," you can get them now.  Many different packages to choose from for the 1st and only 3 day country music event in the Northeast.  Artists are: Lady Antebellum, Willie Nelson & Family, Trace Adkins, Billy Currington, Hunter Hayes, Montgomery Gentry, Justin Moore, Joe Nichols, Gloriana, Dustin Lynch, Blackberry Smoke and more to be announced.

Congratulations by the way, going out to Willie Nelson.  Willie won the first Nashville Songwriter Association International Kris Kristofferson Award.  Kris presented the award to Willie during a ceremony on Sunday at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe.  I would think that Kris would be the first winner of the award since it was named after him.  However when asked by the NSAI board of directors, who should win the inaugural award, Kris said "It has to be Willie."

I find this interesting too, it's not going to be a annual award.  The honor will be bestowed from " time to time" in recognition of a songwriter's lifetime achievement in creating music which has inspired generations and touched the lives of millions of listeners worldwide. The board of director will determine who and when the winner will be. After giving the award, Kris and Willie performed several of their songs.
