If the name Kolby Oakley sounds familiar to you, you might know him or his family from the Whitney Point area.  Or it may be because you were at the Dick's sporting Goods Open last Summer and saw the Kolby Oakley Band perform on the greens in front of thousands.

Now Kolby is on his own with some brand new music he recorded in Nashville and a hot little video with his debut single, "Mud Bog," which was shot locally.

When you see 19 year old Kolby play live you can't help compare him to some of country music's biggest young musicians like Chase Bryant and Hunter Hayes.  When he picks up his custom built electric guitar with his name proudly displayed on the fretboard, you would swear he has been playing most of his life.  Well actually he has, at 9 years old, Kolby played drums in his father's band, Interstate, and later Smokehouse Blues.

Coming from a musical family, it was only natural that Kolby followed his dreams to showcase his talents to a bigger audience.

Kolby hopes to take his album to the national stage, starting in his hometown, then to Nashville, then the world!  “My album is about where I’m from and what I love. And I can’t wait for all of my fans and future fans to jump in this truck with me and hit the road, no matter where it goes!”

Kolby already has gigs coming up at Tioga Downs Casino, Babcocks, and Turning Stone.

Good luck Kolby.  Take a look at his just released video and find out more about Kolby Oakley at kolbyoakley.com
