When streaming services first came at us, there was concern among the companies that one might do better than the other and that there would be some sort of streaming war, but the pandemic has been good for streaming companies, all of them.

This time last year, experts thought that there was absolutely zero way that  Paramount Plus and Discovery Plus would or could possibly do as well as giants like Netflix and Disney+ but the last laugh was on them as the smaller streaming services are doing just fine, thank you very much.

While Netflix and Disney + continue to pull in some really impressive numbers, the smaller services aren't doing too shabby.

Discovery Plus was launched in December of 2020 and has already managed to snag more than  11 million subscribers. On the other hand, Paramount Plus was launched in February of 2021 and is believed to have somewhere around 8–9 million subscribers.

Cable Compare put together a list of 19 shows, each of which they say is deserving of the term, "binge-worthy" and each of which they say you should make time to watch if binging is on your agenda.

The television shows that Cable Compare claims are worth every second of the time that it takes you to work your way through them are: Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Handmaid’s Tale, The People vs. O.J. Simpson, The Americans, The Crown, Downtown Abbey, Black Mirror, Sherlock, Veep, The Office, Orange is the New Black, How I Met Your Mother and Bojack Horseman.
