What is Wordle And Why Am I Now Addicted To It?

The good and bad thing about the world is it's always changing. Always new things happening, being invented or to try. That's the good thing. The bad thing is as I get older, I am not so interested in change or trying new things. I guess that's the norm as you get older?

Well, I'm not quite at that point where I won't try something new or be open to change, because, in my line of work, change is a daily thing. As for trying new things, it depends on what it is.

And there's something new to me, that I noticed from one of my Facebook friends recently. It was a post with just some sort of small crossword puzzle. The word 'Wordle' appears at the top along with some numbers. I had no idea what it all meant, so I went to the trusty internet and searched the word 'Wordle.'

So, according to the website Cnet.com, Wordle is a daily online word game. Apparently, it's taken the internet by storm, you can only play once per day and the idea is to figure out what the word of the day is. Now the catch is, you only have six chances to guess the five-letter word of the day.

Cnet.com also mentions that everyone is trying to figure out the same puzzle word each day, and you can share your results like one of my Facebook friends is doing. So I thought I'd give it a try.

Wordle has five boxes across and six boxes down. You type in five letters across each line and then hit enter to find out what if any of these letters are in the word of the day and it will tell you if any of the letters you chose are part of the word, and if it's in the correct box for the word of the day.

You have five chances to figure out the word, and you type in the word you think it is, on the last line. Wasn't sure exactly what I was doing, and still not sure about a couple of things, but I gave it a shot anyway, and guess what? I won! I'm one for one. But I can't play again until the next day. Uh oh, I think I just tried something new and might get addicted to it. I had fun playing.
