Explore the Beauty of Broome County With ‘Hit the Trail Passport’

If you're someone who loves the outdoors and is looking for an exciting way to explore nature trails in Broome County, look no further than the Wegmans Hit the Trail Passport program.

In collaboration with Broome County Parks and Recreation, Wegmans has created a unique opportunity for you to discover the incredible outdoor spaces found right in our community.

To begin your adventure, simply visit the Wegmans Customer Service Desk in Johnson City and pick up your free Wegmans Hit the Trail Passport. This compact booklet contains nine stunning trails spread across Broome County, each offering its own distinctive scenery and varying difficulty levels to cater to hikers of all experience levels.

Once you have your passport in hand, it's time to hit the trail! As you explore each trail, keep an eye out for designated trail markers. Capture your visit by creating a rubbing of the trail marker on the corresponding page of your passport using a pencil or crayon. If you're unable to locate the marker, don't worry - snap a selfie at the park and email it to bcparks@broomecounty.us to keep track of your progress.

Set out on your outdoor journey and conquer four trails to receive a special reward - a Wegmans reusable bag to commemorate your achievement. For those looking for an even more fulfilling experience, completing all eight trails will enter you into a grand prize drawing. The chosen winner will receive a $250 Wegmans gift card and a complimentary shelter rental at the beautiful Otsiningo Park in Binghamton.

Take your time exploring the trails - there's no rush to complete all eight within a specific timeframe to be eligible for the grand prize. Just make sure you turn in your completed passport to the Broome County Parks and Recreation Department by July 31st to participate in the drawing held in early August.
