From Misdelivered Invitations To DJ Blunders: A Wedding Tale
As many of you know, my daughter Tara is getting married in June. One of the things that still needs to be done is sending out the wedding invitations. Her and her fiancé Ayden had sent out the “Save The Date” postcards and had recently ordered their invitations.

Weeks had gone by without receiving the invitations and Tara began to grow concerned. After following up with the tracking number it appeared that FedEx had inadvertently delivered the package to the wrong location.
Through a quick post on Facebook and the help of Facebook friends and their connections, the package was located. We are happy this mishap was resolved relatively quickly and wouldn’t mind if there were no more hiccups between now and June 7th.
Wedding Day Mishap
On my wedding day, the DJ accidentally played the wrong first dance. It was supposed to be “Completely” by Diamond Rio but he ended up playing “I Believe” instead. As soon as we realized what was happening, I signaled my Dad over to us to get him to let the DJ know what was going on.
So you could say my dad shared in our first dance. “I Believe” is a song about feeling the presence of a lost loved one. Not exactly the song you’d pick for your first dance. It’s a song about death, not marriage…insert obligatory joke here…
Traci's Wedding Day Mishap
For Traci’s wedding, they had a casual style BBQ reception and her sister-in-law thought it would be a good idea to set up the games in the church cemetery. Needless to say. there were no willing participants.
Is anyone catching onto the death theme here?
