Get Ready for the 56th Annual Warren Township Volunteer Fire Company Field Days!
This is one of the events that I look forward to every summer. It's the 56th Annual Field Days in my hometown of Warren Center, Pa. It is good old fashioned fun put on by the Warren Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Chicken BBQ and Fireworks
The Field Days start on Friday, June 20th, at 5 pm. Bring your appetite because you'll want some of their delicious Chicken BBQ dinner that you can enjoy while soaking in the night. At sunset, there will be a fantastic fireworks which is the perfect way to start the weekend.
Saturday Cornhole Fun
This Saturday, June 21st, the Warren Center Field Days starts with some friendly competition. If you love cornhole, this is your moment. Sign ups open at noon, and the tournament begins at 1 pm. It’s a great chance to connect with neighbors and enjoy some friendly rivalry.
Dime Pitch
Midway Opens and Parade Lights Up the Evening
At 3 pm, the midway opens with all kinds of games (including my favorite, Dime Pitch), food stands, and activities to keep the whole family entertained. Many games are still 25 cents or less(did I mention DIME Pitch), and there are games for everyone young (ping-pong ball toss for goldfish) and old (Big Six) and everyone in between.
Parade and Chinese Auction Wrap Up The Day
Then at 7 pm, get ready for the parade, a highlight of the day where local groups, floats, and community members come together to celebrate Warren Township’s spirit. Wrap up the day with the Chinese Auction drawing at 8:30 pm. It’s a fun way to support the volunteer fire company while possibly winning a prize or two.
The Warren Township Volunteer Fire Company Field Days is a tradition that brings everyone together for food, fun, and festivities. Whether you’re coming for the fireworks, the parade, or just to hang out with friends and neighbors, you’re sure to have a great time. I hope to see you there.
