I just read that one of the first choices for the voice of apple phone’s Siri was actor Jeff Goldblum, so I started thinking about who I would want to be the voice of Siri. Here’s my list.

Screen Crush just revealed that years ago Jeff Goldblum received a call asking him to be the voice of Apple, Jeff claims he did not know the person on the phone was actually Steve Jobs.

We have all heard the sometimes pleasant, humorous and snarky voice of Siri, but if you could replace her voice for a famous voice who would you choose?

Here’s my top five choices for the voice of Siri.

  • My number five choice for the voice of Siri is Katy Segal: Katy has a great voice, it you don’t known the name you certainly should know that she was Peg Bundy on Married with Children, and the voice of Leela from Futurama. I could hear her giving you directions like Peg yelling at Al for something stupid he did.
  • My number four choice for the voice of Siri is Dan Castellaneta: Dan voices one of the most iconic characters in television history, Homer Simpson, but he also does Krusty the Clown, Barney Gumble and many others, how much fun with that be with all the phrases he could say as your Siri.
  • My number three choice for the voice of Siri is James Earl Jones: Ok I really shouldn’t have to say anything more except, ‘Luke I am your father’ Can you imagine James Earl Jones giving you todays weather.
  • My number two choice for the voice of Siri Kathleen Turner: Legendary actress who has played many characters, including the voice of the sexy Jessica Rabbit in the movie ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ She has a great voice and a worthy choice for my Siri.
  • My number one choice for the voice of Siri is Morgan Freeman: The most stoic and soothing voice on the planet, Morgan’s smooth delivery instantly puts you at ease, one of his best vocal performances was the narrator in ‘The Shawshank Redemption ‘ can you imagine Morgan Freeman reading your text messages for you? My number one choice for the voice of Siri.

I am sure that in the future you will have options like these, but for now we can only imagine.

Who would you choose as your voice for Siri
