Vince Gill was the celebrity chosen to sing the National Anthem at the Nashville Predators'  Game 2 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs series versus the Dallas Stars Saturday night (Apr.13).

Gill was clearly pumped up for the task at Bridgestone Arena, posing shots of himself on Instagram proudly cheering and getting a downtown Nashville crowd whipped up, while garbed in a Preds jersey customized with his name on the back.

He's the latest in a string of prominent musicians delivering the anthem before the Nashville Predators' Stanley Cup Playoffs series home games for the past couple years. The series opened up this year with Big & Rich, and in 2018 hosted a star-packed roster of guest singers including Sheryl Crow, Rascal FlattsMaren MorrisLady AntebellumBrad Paisley, Carrie UnderwoodDierks Bentley and Del McCoury.

This is not Gill's first time performing the anthem for the Preds, as he did the honors in 2017, accompanied by his two daughters. (He and daughter Corrina also sang the National Anthem in the same spot during the 2016 NHL All Star Game).

Other stars who did the anthem proud in 2017 include Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, and Keith Urban.
