As his legions of fans share some of their favorite memories of him on Binghamton radio and television, we're pleased to show you a bit of Bill Parker you may not have seen before.

Over the years, Bill enjoyed having fun on the air, speaking into the studio microphone or appearing in front of the camera.

The man who once was known to so many area kids as "Officer Bill" always seemed to have a smile on his face. He liked to make others happy and worked to encourage people to be positive about the region, even in challenging times.

The last time we saw Bill in uniform was in 1994, when he was about to be honored by the City of Binghamton.

Bill was proud of the work he did on WNBF AM-1290 and on WNBF-TV Channel 12, which now is WBNG.

We were fortunate to work alongside him as he set a great example for those in broadcasting.

Bill Parker was 91 years old when he died in Vestal on August 15, 2019.
