Today is Veterans Day. It's a day to honor all U.S. military men and women past and present.

There are plenty of ways to honor our veterans today including parades and memorial services.

Some restaurants are offering free meals for veterans and other restaurants are offering discounts for both active and former military personnel.

At some Dunkin' locations throughout the greater Binghamton area, there is a special tribute. At the Dunkin on East Main Street in Endicott, near the Union-Endicott High School, they had the Fallen Soldiers table. The table consisted of a poem to the fallen soldier, a place setting, a Bible, and a book where customers could write personalized notes to the men and women of our Armed Forces.

So if you're driving by a Dunkin' location today, you can stop in and sign the book for all of the area's veterans to read.

And to our veterans, thank you for your service and sacrifice to help protect our freedoms. Whether you served during wartime or peacetime, you still made a huge sacrifice and were willing to pay the ultimate price to protect our freedom.

Please make sure you thank every current and former member of our armed forces that you see today.

Thank you, and happy Veterans Day.
