The Presidential Election is officially over and congress certified Joe Biden's win for the Presidency around 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 7th. No matter what side of the aisle you are on, Wednesday was a sad day for America with all the chaos at the US Capitol in Washington D.C.

I'll be honest, I'm more concerned about my kids. They are the ones that will have to live through the decisions and actions that have been happening for the past few months.

Strong words have been exchanged and now we are being asked to move on. For many, the question is: Move on to what? Some look to the president or our government to give us hope but I'm not so sure that they are the places that we should be turning to.

The Republican or Democrat that we place our trust in have let us down time and time again. We should be looking somewhere else, not only for today but forever. If you're trying to decide which side to be on, be on the side that will never lose.

To use the words of a pastor that I trust, "Don't put your hope in the elephant or the donkey. They will let you down ALL THE TIME so put your hope in the Lamb. The elephant and donkey will come and go but the Lamb is forever."

We see what's going on in our country and think that it's over. Here's the thing, He was not surprised by what has been happening because He is never caught off-guard and He's got us.

God has changed the hearts of both kings and people like me and all we have to do is believe in Him. Max Lucado wrote something that helped me to feel less anxious during these troubling times. It has helped me to feel calm in the middle of this storm and I think it can help you too. I certainly don't think you'll feel worse...besides it's free to try.
