State police say they were called to a reported domestic dispute on Lyons Street in the Village of Unadilla at 7:20 p.m. December 22 and were confronted by 24-year-old Mark Beilby who was armed with a knife.

A trooper shot at Beilby when he advanced toward the officer and refused to drop the knife, threatening the trooper.
