The first crash involving a truck registered in Queens crashed on 17 West at the Mygatt Street Exit in the City of Binghamton at 4:29 a.m., spilling garbage and blocking at least one lane.

In that crash, in addition to the rig and garbage blocking the road, there were reports of possible diesel fuel spilling, so fire personnel were also summoned to the scene.
