Have you heard of the Honor Flight Network? It recognizes American Veterans for their sacrifices and achievements by bringing them to Washington DC to see THEIR memorial at no cost.

There is Twin Tiers Honor Flight (TTHF) right here in the Southern Tier that is a member of the Honor Flight Network. It's top priority is given to WWII, Korean, Vietnam era veterans as well as terminally ill veterans from all wars.

Guardians fly with the Veterans on every flight and assist and help the Veterans to have a memorable and rewarding experience. However time is running out for many of these Veterans. We are losing over one thousand WWII Veterans every day.

It may be at no cost to the Veterans but there is a cost. Wheelchairs cost money so the Twin Tiers Honor Flight can use your help. There goal is 50 wheelchairs for the next flight.

They need 40 transport wheelchairs at $100. Eight standard wheelchairs at $200 and two baritatric wheelchairs for $400. In memory of plaques available to affix to wheelchair at an additional cost.

There are several ways to donate. They have fundraising events. The next one is this Sunday (4/24) at Uno's Pizzeria in the Town Square Mall in Vestal. Download this coupon and 20% of your bill will be donated to the TTHF.

Another way that you can donate is by going here. All donations to TTHF are tax deductible. We always encourage others to "Thank a Vet." Here's one of the best ways to truly thank them.
