
Three New York Cities Ranked Among the Best Places to Celebrate Father’s Day
Father's Day is this Sunday, June 21st, and if you're looking for a fun way to celebrate dad, a new study says New York has some of the best places in the country to do it. Golf Warehouse looked at 100 cities across the United States to find the best places to spend Father's Day.
Rochester Ranked No. 2 in the Nation for Father's Day
Rochester had one of the highest scores in the study, tying for second place with Durham, North Carolina. The city offers plenty of activities that can make Father's Day special, from outdoor recreation to great places to eat. Only Harrisburg, Pennsylvania ranked higher.
New York had two other cities land in the top 10.
Poughkeepsie came in sixth place, while Buffalo ranked eighth. Both cities got high marks for giving families many ways to celebrate, whether dad enjoys spending time outdoors, playing golf, fishing, or enjoying a nice meal.
What Makes a Great Father's Day City?
Researchers looked at several things when they came up with their rankings. Some of the factors included the number of golf courses, fishing access, steakhouses, sports activities, and other attractions that are popular with dads.

Several Northeast Cities Earn High Rankings
The Northeast did very well in the study. Harrisburg, Rochester, Allentown, Poughkeepsie, Buffalo, and New Haven all finished in the top 10. Whether your dad enjoys a day on the golf course, a fishing trip, a great steak dinner, or simply spending time with family, these top-ranked cities offer plenty of ways to celebrate.
