Crowd-Favorite Rodeo Returns to the Tioga County Fair

If you ask my son what his absolute favorite part of summer is, the answer comes out immediately and without hesitation. The rodeo. There’s just something about the energy of it that pulls him in every single time.

This summer, the 2026 Tioga County Fair is bringing live rodeo action back to Marvin Park in Owego, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting nights of the fair. The rodeo will take place on Thursday, August 13, at 7 p.m., featuring classic rodeo events like bull riding, barrel racing, and roping. Each event brings its own kind of intensity, whether it’s a rider trying to stay on a bucking bull or a competitor racing a horse around barrels at incredible speed.
