The Tioga Chamber of Commerce will have a new leader at the end of this week .  Andrew Hafer has been named the Chamber's new President and CEO effective on Friday, May 29.  Hafer repaces Gwen Kania who is retiring on May 28 according to information provided by the Tioga Chamber of Commerce.  Kania has been the organization's President and CEO since 2014.

Hafer has been a member of the Tioga Chamber Board of Directors from 205-2019.  He served in various positions with Tioga Opportunities since 2007.  While there Hafer held the positions of Energy Services Director, Commumity Services Director and Operations Manager.

In comments provided by the Tioga Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board of Directors Roseann Cole says "Andy is such an asset to our community and the Chamber is pleased and excited to have him on board."

The new President and CEO of the Tioga Chamber of Commerce earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Lock Haven University.  Hafer is a resident of Owego.
